So, When some big tech giants are trying to innovate their technology. Meanwhile in India, the citizens are outraged by a comment given by Evan Spiegel, CEO SnapChat.

Did you noticed #BoycottSnapchat Trending on social media? Yes! Indian are uninstalling Snapchat due to the controversial statement given by the CEO, who is undoubtedly an over entitled tech billionaire. Indians reacted over the casual racism uttered by Evan Spiegel, 2 years ago in 2015.

The social media went out loud by hearing this statement that ” the app is for rich people only” and the company do not want to expand its business in poor countries like India and Spain.

Till now it looks straight and no sign of strangeness as it is natural that if someone will offend you then you will react but, something went wrong and everyone is going nuts now 🙂

People Miss Understood Snapdeal as Snapchat and started uninstalling the app and down rating it on playstore. This is kind of hilarious and sad at the same time. This made a lot of damage to Snapdeal and its reputation.

Lets see whats happening around the web.

This is what happening all around. Our Own Indian based e-commerce startup met with so much issues and conroversies just because it shares a similar name with SnapChat. This is too bad and we hope everything goes right and there should be some statements from SnapChat and SnapDeal As well.

As more people deleted their app, Snapdeal co-founder and CEO Kunal Bahl tweeted, “Ppl asking us to make a statement that @snapdeal is not @snapchat was possibly the last thing I thought I would ever need to do.”

And the statement by CEO Evan was offending but its consecueces were inevitable. Alas, Snapdeal suffered the rage of Indian Netizens just because of their foolishness.
