“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” -Nelson Mandela

Education is a very important part of one’s life. In today’s world, we stand nowhere without education. If we are not educated, then we cannot keep pace with the world and cannot develop properly. Education is like a paint brush with which we can fill our lives with all the beautiful colors and at last, we end up with a priceless masterpiece

It is rightly said that “Education is the chief defense of a nation”. This thought can be practically applied to tackle many problems that the whole world is facing these days. Education can be used as a powerful weapon to fight terrorism. It can be done by making people aware about terrorism and its outcomes which can be disastrous. Education is the only tool with which we can develop the countries of Africa and South Asia which are driven by absolute poverty and hunger. As I am from India, I have seen that education is helping the people a lot and it has brought a revolutionary change. But there is a lot more which has to be done to bring India to the front line

As far as it is concerned that education can build a better future for all, it is absolutely true. Education is like a gateway to the world of opportunities. I believe that education can only transform this world. Building a better future does not mean only getting good jobs, but it  means a lot more. Many people have a wrong perception about education. They think that getting literate means getting educated, but it is not so. Education does not only means acquiring knowledge in certain subjects, but it is a complete package which includes knowledge, moral values, practical life lessons and many more things which help a man to become a responsible citizen.

Today the world is bewildered with a lot of problems and to tackle them, we need to spread education worldwide. The problems of resource management, shortage of energy, poverty, hunger. All these only have one solution- educating the people. I think that if we want to build a better future, then we have to educate the coming generation, which can bring a great change. The children should be taught and care for their environment along with normal learning. In India, many schemes for spreading education have been started by the government and they are helping a lot to develop the country. The parents of the children have to be convinced for sending their children to school.

We all should realize the importance of education then only we can make this world a better place. I agree that educating the whole world is not an easy thing to do, but it is not impossible. The countries of the world should come together like a family and help the weaker members of their family which are the poor countries as in India we have a belief of ‘Vasudev Kutumbhkam’ which means that the whole world is a family. So, we all should educate ourselves because the first change has to be we ourselves and then we all should take the initiative to educate people as much as we can. At last I would just like to conclude with this thought:

“Change will not come by just thinking, it will come by action of educating people”
